Finished remixing Room E’s track Polar Bear, set to drop next week and now I’m getting all in a music making mood again. But I cannot because my work deadline beckons. It’s at junctures like these that I sit back and wonder when I’ll have the balls to drop everything and just pursue my dreams. Is there a time and place or is it better to simply let everything go with no closure or resolution, like in the movies and TV shows I watch. I haven’t come to a conclusion yet, but I fear that if I don’t, I’ll simply drop off the map unnoticed and forgotten (even though I know that is an irrational fear… kind of). I Know however, that I believe there is an aspect of timing that’s important with these things, and there are many camps and schools of thought as to what “time is the right time.” And amongst all this chatter, I look up to God ask him when should I step off just drop my “responsibilities” and he simply states “Soon, but not today.” And so I wait.

Anyways, enough of the chit chat here are some pictures of what I’m thankful for (these are all from my iphone so I have a lot of things I missed):

FREE THE ROBOTS Show + Album Release Party w/ TAKE

Just got back from the Free The Robots performance @ Kava. It was an honor to open for him to say the least. Definitely got inspired to a whole new level tonight. It was also good to see some friends come out, including Dora whom I didn’t expect to see come out!

Another year? Yes but every year is different. I found that I really enjoy helping to develop people, and seeing them lead and become passionate about something.

Before I leave for the week, just wanted to put up this song from the Thin Red Line soundtrack. I haven’t actually watched it yet, but I heard its quite a movie depicting a few of the devastating effects of war. Regardless, this song is actually a worship song sung by a Melanesian Choir. It’s called Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blom Mi. Definitely some intensely moving music.

Too many things

Too many things on my plate. Show on Thursday to get ready for, books to read for next week, presentations to plan, work to do, and then on top of all that a lot of internal emotions to sort through. Unfortunately, it seems like I can only afford to do all but the last.

I want my cup to runneth over not my plate.
